Schema That Validates But Produces No Rich Results

The cause is almost never a simple coding error. It is usually one of several more nuanced issues: the page lacks sufficient authority or indexing quality for Google to trust the schema data; the content on the page does not adequately match the schema declarations; the schema type is valid but the page does not meet Google's content eligibility criteria for that specific rich result; or the schema is being applied to a page type that Google has decided not to show rich results for in the current search landscape. Plugin Conflicts and Duplicate Schema
WordPress sites are particularly vulnerable to this. Rank Math generates Organization schema. Yoast generates WebPage schema. Elementor adds its own structured data to pages it builds. WooCommerce generates Product schema for every product. And then the site owner adds custom JSON-LD for FAQ or Review schema on top of all of that.
The result is often three or four conflicting Organization entities on the same page, multiple LocalBusiness declarations with slightly different addresses, and product schema that partially matches the WooCommerce data and partially contradicts it. Google receives this conflicting information and frequently ignores all of it rather than trying to reconcile the conflicts. The website appears to have schema — technically it does — but it produces no rich results because the data is contradictory and untrustworthy.
AI Search Invisibility
The shift toward AI-generated search results has introduced a new category of schema problem that most websites are not yet aware of. Platform Limitations
Shopify themes frequently duplicate product schema — generating a schema block from the theme and another from an installed app, producing conflicting product data. Wix limits custom code injection in ways that make dynamic per-page schema difficult without Velo development. Squarespace restricts schema to code injection in page headers, which does not support per-post or per-product variable schema without significant workarounds. Webflow CMS implementations often produce schema with relative URLs instead of absolute ones, which Google rejects. Weebly and Durable have even more constrained environments for custom code.

Schema That Goes Stale

My schema was working and then the rich results disappeared. What happened?
